DeadRising 3: Xbox Review

Dead Rising 3 is the 3rd game in the Dead Rising franchise, and it was a launch title on Xbox One.

It is a good Dead Rising game but just does not capture the magic of Dead Rising 2, where you can run through the shopping mall dressed up as a Lego man with a fire extinguisher, freezing every zombie in sight.

In my opinion, it does not show the full power of Xbox One. The graphics were not great (even the PC port), and the frame rate was too low. Nevertheless, this is understandable since THERE IS SO MANY ZOMBIES on screen at once and there is a lot of explosions and Dead Rising madness, which would evidently kill the frame rate. They could have made more loading areas and confined the areas to allow the game to hit 60fps consistently, but instead we had to deal with bad graphics. I repeat: AND BAD GRAPHICS!

The game didn't have overly impressive story compared to other zombie games out there but, at the end of the day, Dead Rising is not really about the story. It's about the madness of combo weapons and now all new combo vehicles.

If you want a good zombie game with a story I would say to go with something like Telltale's The Walking Dead or if you want a more open world game go with Dying Light, which has a good story and a few combo weapons (but not as fun as the combo weapons in Dead Rising 3).

Overall I would give the game a 6.5/10.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and if you did, don't forget to share the joy by sharing this! :)
